Gerardo A. Canales

Gerardo A. Canales is a versatile and experienced management executive with multi industry, multinational management experience. In his years in business he has held management positions in private and publicly traded companies. Gerardo has experience in manufacturing, distribution, services and chemical companies, both in the domestic and international arenas; he has served as Acting Director, General Manager, Controller, Financial Analyst, Forecasting Planning and Analysis Manager.

Before founding “The Business Right Hand” Gerardo handled the financial management aspect of consulting projects for Walker and Associates, a consulting firm specialized in underperforming businesses. In these projects, he was able to streamline the financial and operating processes while assessing the root causes of the client’s problems.

During his years as a financial executive Gerardo helped a chemical company combine and streamline the financial reporting processes for a recently merged set of companies in the Gulf Region. In a manufacturing company, he implemented a corporate system of reporting and analysis, subsequently mapping and testing a system of internal controls for Sarbanes Oxley compliance.

The General Manager and Director positions for services and distribution companies in Latin America exposed him to the marketing and sales areas while rolling out new products in that geographical area.

As a manager of small and mid size businesses Gerardo encountered their day to day problems and understood the need for an integral service company focusing and helping the owners, managers and entrepreneurs. In these positions Gerardo demonstrated his problem solving skills and his ability to communicate effectively with all the stakeholders.
